A few weeks ago I finally found out the city I will be spending my year abroad in! I am excited to announce I will be living in and around Brno, Czech Republic. Brno
is the second largest city in the Czech Republic, with a population around a half million people. The city is somewhat similar to where I live now since it's a university town, and they don't have many tourists.
My first host family lives in a little village called Lukovany, about 30 minutes away from the city. I will have a host mom, host dad, one host brother who is a year younger than me, a dog, chickens, and bees. I am very excited to meet them in around a month.
I am still waiting for my visa to get approved before I buy my plane tickets, but it's crazy how soon I leave my home for a new one!
